WHAT'S HOT

Shoes and Bags of the Season

Shoes

This is great for both everyday wear and for going out – patent. It was spotted at Valentino, Salvatore Ferragamo and Miu Miu in many different colors and styles. Valentino opted for boots, while Miu Miu chose the material for a kitten heel. Salvatore Ferragamo showed off classic pumps in the material, showing you that this material is super versatile. It’s practical for everyday wear as it’s easy to wipe and keep clean which also makes it ideal for going out.

We know we’re talking about the upcoming fall and winter season and sandals might not be at the top of your list. What can we say, they were still presented at the AW23 shows! You might be on the lookout for a new pair for going out or you might have an event coming up. The sandals this season can be summed up in a single word: Strappy. The strappier the better!

You’ve probably already seen it all around town but it’s not going anywhere – it’s the pointed toe! Missoni showed off pointy boots and Emporio Armani – among many others – opted for pointy heels. It’s a classic silhouette and we’re pretty sure it’ll never actually go out of style. The pointy heel is perfect for work but as you might’ve seen on some of your favorite celebrities, the silhouette is also amazing with a pair of oversize jeans making it a multifaceted style of shoe.

In some of our other trend pieces, we’ve mentioned that 3D flower accessories are a massive hit right now and this was clear at the Chanel show as well. The Camellia was one of Coco Chanel’s favorite flowers and has been a symbol for the French maison ever since. This time they’re placed on sneakers and we couldn’t love it more.

Bags

Next up: Bags!

Small crossbody bags were spotted at Chanel and Zimmerman and they were both colorful and furry. The bags were not necessarily worn crossbody, but we’re talking about a small bag on a long chain which is a nice change from the classic shoulder bag.

Small bags are however not the be-all end-all as massively oversize bags were prominent at Ann Demeulemeester and Victoria Beckham among others. Some looked very practical and would be great for carrying all your essentials and then some, while others managed to be very chic and sophisticated.

At Louis Vuitton, the bags were out there! They were noticeable in color and some were highly sculptural – one was shaped as a building! This fall and winter season you definitely shouldn’t be afraid to shop for a bag that’ll get you noticed.
